Sonja Brussen

Highly productive painter from the East of The Netherlands, working near the border with Germany. In her fierce plein-air style, she connects Impressionism with Expresssionism. In her paintings reflecting water and cloudy skies compete in tough compositions. Schooled at Artez School of Arts, she was winner of Royal Talens Award Noordwijk in 2016.
