The Noordwijk Painting Festival 2010
The Noordwijk Painting Festival 2010 will be held from 21 to 27 June 2009 in the Dutch coast-village Noordwijk aan Zee. This 12th Noordwijk Painting Festival aims at:
- providing an ideal working location and ambiance for professional painters
- reviving an old tradition (coast-places are painters villages)
- selling art as fresh fish (direct sale, auction, art market)
- providing masterclasses and workshops for professionals and amateurs
- involving the public directly in the art of painting
Participation in the festival is open for professional painters. All
participating artists are expected to paint "live" in and around
Noordwijk.
Besides the painting of the surroundings of Noordwijk (including the beaches)
there will be facilities for model- and portrait painting.
The paintings will be exhibited – as soon as finished - in the festival marquee on the seafront and put on sale (if so wished). This exhibition is called "Noordwijk Wet" and will grow as time goes on.
The opening of the festival will take place on monday June 21th. On saturday June 26th a "Canvas Ball" will be held, during which the winners of the Noordwijk Painting Award and the nominations will be disclosed.
On the " Sunday after the Saturdaynight before" an auction will be held of the
remaining paintings.

Amsterdam
Artists interested in participating are requested to fill in the
registration form (Dutch version).
Registration form, programme and further instructions will be sent by regular
mail. Registration fee amounts to € 95,- per person (VAT included).
The festival organization will take care of cheap lodging arrangements (not
included in registration fee).
Noordwijk is situated between Amsterdam and The Hague at approximately 30 miles from Schiphol Airport.
